The mission of The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County is to foster an art-rich environment, and to encourage the development and appreciation of all art forms, while promoting the growth and expansion of artistic, cultural, and economic development.

Established in 1972 to receive bequests, grants, financial gifts, and other items of cultural and historic value, The Cultural Foundation serves as the conduit between the community and its arts organizations through various means.

Funding – Provides annual arts grants through endowment income, individual donations and memberships, business sponsorships, and grant writing.

Advocacy – Advocates for the arts and arts education in Harrison County by partnering with the Board of Education and local arts groups.

Community Enrichment – Increases the public’s awareness of diverse art forms through the presentation and performance of art.
