Location: ROBINSON GRAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Due to the forecast of thunderstorms, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra’s Celebrate America Concert, scheduled for Saturday, July 6 at the Clarksburg Amphitheatre, will be moved to the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in Clarksburg, WV.
Admission is free and concessions will be available. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County presents the Celebrate America Tour with the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO).
The concert will begin at 7:30 pm and feature vocal performances by Broadway star Gary Mauer, recently seen as the Phantom in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera. The event will culminate at dark with a crescendo of patriotic tunes, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
The event is presented by The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County, made possible by The Barbara B. Highland Fund for the Arts, a bequest of the late Barbara B. Highland. The Cultural Foundation thanks the City of Clarksburg, City Parks of Clarksburg, Antero Resources and the many other donors and volunteers who have helped to make this event possible.
A fireworks display near the Clarksburg Amphitheater, sponsored by Antero Resources may continue, weather permitting.
