The Cultural Foundation’s Steinway D Concert Grand Piano, purchased in 1978 and housed at the historical Waldomore, has been seen and heard at numerous concerts, recitals, and on NPR’s Performance Today. The addition of a Yamaha Avant Grande Digital piano, also housed at Waldomore, helps extend the life of the Steinway by offering a more portable option suitable for most events.
These pianos are made available for use by the community through the generous financial support of our sponsors and members. You may request use of either of the pianos for recitals, performances, group meetings, and functions.
Guidelines for Piano Usage Program:
The fee to use either of the pianos at Waldomore is $50, for the first performance and necessary rehearsals, and $25 for each additional consecutive day performance.
The Steinway is regularly tuned by The Cultural Foundation. Any additional tuning/voicing desired must be scheduled by the foundation and paid for by the organization requesting use of the piano.
No decorations, including flowers, candles, etc., may be placed on the pianos at any time.
Offiste moving arrangements, for the Yamaha Avant Grande, will be approved through The Cultural Foundation and at the expense of the requesting organization. A moving cart is available, for a small fee, and it is recommended to use ample padding to protect the instrument. Any damage incurred, through moving or offsite use, will be the responsibility of the requesting organization.
